U-BOLT FLIP KIT & U-BOLTS
You'll need new U-bolts when you upgrade your springs from stock, so why not flip the bolts at the same time?
Why? Because the threaded ends of the stock U-bolts stick downward. They not only decrease under-axle clearance, but they're vulnerable to impact damage. Often, old stock U-bolt nuts can't even be removed. The U-bolts must be torched off. A.O.R.'s U-Bolt FIip Kit fixes all that by moving the plate to the top of the axle and pointing the U-bolt threaded ends up and away from danger. Available for front and rear springs
. A.O.R. U-Bolt Flip Kits are available with or without polyurethane bumpstops.
The poly bumpstops are 1 3/4" tall and pyramid up from a 1 3/4" x 3" base. Bumpstops are offset on the U-bolt plates to provide best frame contact. Your choice of red or black.
Note: Front U-Bolt Flip kit works with crossover steering only.
U-Bolt plates are fabricated from beefy 3/8" hot-rolled plate steel, 4 1/2 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches long.
Both plates and U-bolts are black-zinc finished for rust protection. Rear shock mounts are optional. See Do-It-Yourself Components page for mounts and tabs. Top-quality 9/16" , black-zinc coated U-bolts are included with all U-Bolt Flip Kits.
You can also special order round-bend or square-bend U-bolts in any length you need. Special-order U-bolts are available zinc-coated or plain.
